The project aims to contribute to the successful implementation of EU Procedural Rights Directives and to educate the practitioners on how the EU law instruments can be used to challenge systemic problems within justice systems.

Achievements

 

1. We organized residential practitioners training in Vilnius where 40 criminal lawyers from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden and Denmark took part.

2. The training curriculum covered the new EU directives on fair trial rights in criminal proceedings, including the right to information, the right to translation, the right to a lawyer and others.
